    Mr. Joe Chiu entered the professional world by joining KPMG Peat Marwick in mid-1980s. After years of work in the professional field, he entered the commercial world by joining a well-known listed group of companies in Hong Kong. Since 1994, he has been practicing as a Certified Public Accountant under the name of Joe Chiu & Company. Having worked in the professional and commercial fields for years, he is equipped with concrete and extensive experience in providing accounting, auditing, taxation, company incorporation and dissolution services to industries of various size and nature.

    Joe was admitted as a member of Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants (HKICPA) in 1991. He was then further admitted as a member of The Taxation Institute of Hong Kong and as a member of The Institute of Chartered Accountants in England and Wales (ICAEW). Since business world is complicated nowadays and a well-designed business solution usually needs cross-discipline knowledge, Joe completed his LLB Law Degree with the University of London in 2000 and further strengthened his legal knowledge by completing the “Postgraduate Certificate in Law” (PCLL) held by University of Hong Kong in 2002. After then, he further broadened his knowledge in dissolution and insolvency by completing different relevant courses. In 2006, he was awarded the Diploma of Insolvency with Credit by HKICPA.

    Having received formal training in law, accounting, taxation and insolvency and back up with more than 20 years concrete experience, Joe is confident that he is competent to provide well-designed business solution to suit his customers’ needs.


    Legal Advisor

    Mr. Edward Huen, LLB (Hons), Solicitor

    Mr. Edward Huen is a self-made man who commenced his career in the legal field in the early 1980s. With analytical mind and legal knowledge, he was promoted to the Chief Litigation Clerk in Messrs. Chung and Kwan, Solicitors in the late 1980s. Edward’s experience covers various legal areas such as landlord and tenant disputes, conveyancing projects, commercial disputes and civil litigation. Over the past 25 years in legal field, he has handled hundreds of litigation cases which were sentenced in different courts in Hong Kong such as Magistrate Court, District Court, High Court and Court of Appeal in Hong Kong.

    Edward obtained LLB Law Degree from University of Wolverhampton in 1999. He further strengthened his expertise by completing the Post Graduate Certificate in Laws organized by the University of Hong Kong in 2002. He was admitted as a solicitor of Hong Kong in 2004. Equipped with the knowledge and experience he acquired from his background, he is competent and eloquent lawyer particularly in conveyance and civil litigation. Currently, he has been the Appeal Committee member of Professional Insurance Brokers Association since 2004.

    Mr. Raymond Cheng, LLB (Hons), MBA, ACIS, Solicitor

    Mr. Raymond Cheng has been a solicitor practicing in Hong Kong since 2004. He received his LLB Law Degree awarded by the University of London and his MBA degree from the University of Strathclyde. He is also an associate member of The Institute of Chartered Secretaries and Administrators in United Kingdom and The Hong Kong Institute of Company Secretaries in Hong Kong. In addition, he is a holder of diploma in Chinese Professional Laws from the Chinese University of Political Science and Law, PRC.

    Apart from his general practice, Raymond has been heavily involved in IPO and listing compliance affairs. He is regarded as a specialist in commercial legal drafting covering inter alia, joint-venture agreements, shareholders’ agreements, acquisition agreements, management and agency agreements etc where half of the cases handling involving the transaction value of each case at almost HK$100 million.

    Raymond has more than 20 years experience in company secretarial and listing affairs and his hand-on commercial experience is substantial. He had been appointed as a named company secretary in two listed companies in Hong Kong in 1990s. At present he is an independent non-executive director of several listed companies in Hong Kong.

    Corporate Insolvency Specialist

    Mr. Ringo Tam, Insolvency Practitioner

    Mr. Ringo Tam has equipped himself with over 15 years of experience and technical knowledge in the field of corporate insolvency. He has spent over 10 years in the Business Recovery Services Department of a Big Four CPA firm. After then, he had been with a well-known Corporate Advisory Services Company which is a firm currently registered with the Official Receiver’s Office both in the “Panel A” and “Panel T” panels, for three years. As a consequence, he has concrete and extensive experience in handling different kinds of corporate insolvency work both for compulsory and voluntary winding up.

    Over the past 15 years, Ringo has handled hundreds of corporate and personal insolvency cases. He has been engaged in the liquidation of a listed property, hotel, construction, finance and insurance group with more than 100 subsidiary companies and managed the liquidation of a well-known game centre with over 250 employees and nine outlets located at different districts in Hong Kong. His job portfolios covered diverse industries including manufacturers of computers, electronic components, garments, dyeing, property investment and super-store etc. Ringo is a graduate of the “Diploma of Insolvency” organized by the Hong Kong Institute of Certified Public Accountants in Hong Kong.
